At Sleaford Rugby Club, we recognise the important role that social media plays in modern communication. Social media platforms provide valuable opportunities to promote the club, celebrate achievements, engage with members and supporters, and strengthen our connection with the wider community.
We encourage all members, players, coaches, volunteers, parents, supporters, and sponsors to use social media positively and responsibly. When engaging online, we ask everyone associated with the club to uphold the values and reputation of Sleaford Rugby Club and the game of rugby as a whole.
This policy applies to all forms of online communication, including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, blogs, forums, podcasts, messaging platforms, photographs, and video content.

Our Expectations
When referencing Sleaford Rugby Club online, we ask all members and supporters to: Conduct themselves in a respectful, responsible, and professional manner at all times. Remember that content shared online may be publicly accessible and remain available indefinitely. Take personal responsibility for anything they publish, share, or comment on. Consider the potential impact of their posts on themselves, other individuals, and the club. Promote the positive values of rugby, including respect, sportsmanship, teamwork, and inclusivity. Celebrate the successes of the club and its members in a positive and constructive way.
Unacceptable Conduct
The following behaviour is not acceptable and may result in action being taken by the Club Management Committee:
Posting abusive, offensive, threatening, discriminatory, defamatory, or inflammatory comments.
Criticising, insulting, or harassing players, coaches, volunteers, officials, parents, supporters, or representatives of any club.
Engaging in cyberbullying or online harassment.
Sharing inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content.
Publishing confidential or private information without consent.
Posting content that could damage the reputation of Sleaford Rugby Club, its members, or the wider rugby community.
Impersonating another individual or falsely representing yourself online.
Using social media to incite hostility, aggression, or violence.

Raising Concerns
Any concerns, grievances, or constructive feedback should be raised through the appropriate club channels rather than via social media. Members are encouraged to speak directly with the relevant coach, manager, committee member, or club official.
If you encounter negative or inappropriate comments online relating to the club, please avoid responding publicly or escalating the situation. Serious concerns should be referred to the Club Management Committee.
